Project Highlights

The City of Toronto contracted Pigeon Busters to design and integrate a bird netting exclusion solution in their newly renovated, 60,000 square feet storage facility. Previously the client had no bird control measures installed and damage due to bird droppings to expensive machinery and stored goods had to be addressed to eliminate the rising cost of repairs and cleanup and most importantly to keep the building safe and healhy for the workers.

The facility provided a warm home for hundreds of pigeons with 60,000 square feet of roosting space on the cross beams and roof trusses, on machinery and piping.

Pigeon Busters designed a bird netting exclusion solution to custom fit to moving bay doors, machinery and hot pipes. Access was provided through the netting for maintenance with zippers and custom doors. Special attention was paid around moving parts, machinery and loading doors. Using custom fabricated, wall mountable poles the Bird Net was installed to avoid contact while the door is being open, yet provide sufficient protection to prevent pigeons entering.
