Project Highlights

New stairways, new netting.

Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa is one of our long term Clients, this time we were brought in to address a unique problem. The existing netting on one of the cooling towers was heavily damaged due to new stairways installed, leading out to the roof top.
The new stairway completely changed the site conditions at this particular part of the tower and needed a very unique approach. The stairway platform protruded over the parapet completely exposed.
We needed to build a full enclosure with a door. We custom fabricated a matching support structure that was mounted to the existing platform, then we installed the bird netting at varying angles to follow the stairs, turns and other smaller openings. The attention to detail required was enormous, since the original structure was not build with the netting in mind – every netting piece had to be custom fit.

The result speaks for itself.
